Gera Services  ·  Last updated: March 2026  ·  Applies to: all Gera Services products (GeraCast, EU Compliance Toolkit, gera.services)

If you believe Gera Services has handled your personal data in a way that breaches your data protection rights, you can submit a formal complaint to us. This page explains how to do that, what to expect, and your right to escalate to the regulator.

This complaints process is operated under the requirements of the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 (DUAA 2025, s.103) and the Data Protection Act 2018. It is effective from 19 June 2026.

How to Submit a Complaint

Email (preferred): Send your complaint to [email protected] with the subject line: Data Protection Complaint.

Post: Gera Services, London, United Kingdom.

What to include:

You do not need to use formal or legal language. Write in whatever way is clearest for you.

Complaints on behalf of others: If you are complaining on behalf of someone else, please confirm you have their authorisation and provide their details alongside yours.

What Happens After You Submit

Step 1
Acknowledgement — within 30 days

We will acknowledge receipt of your complaint within 30 days of receiving it. You may receive an automatic reply immediately; we will follow up with a personal response confirming we have logged your complaint.

Step 2
Investigation

We will investigate your complaint. We may contact you for further information if needed. We aim to resolve complaints within 3 months. Complex matters may take longer; if so, we will keep you informed of progress.

Step 3
Outcome

We will write to you with our findings and any action we are taking. If we find an error was made, we will tell you what we are doing to fix it. If we disagree that a breach occurred, we will explain why.

Step 4
Escalation to the ICO

If you are not satisfied with our response, or if we have not resolved your complaint within a reasonable timeframe, you have the right to complain directly to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) — the UK's independent data protection regulator:

Complaining to us first is not a legal requirement, but we hope you will give us the opportunity to resolve your concern before escalating.
